A live queue display transforms your waiting room experience. Patients see their number, their position in the queue, and an estimated wait time — without approaching the front desk. This guide covers the complete setup.
Option A: Plug a Chromecast or Android stick (MOVO-X recommends a RK3566 stick) into your existing waiting room TV. Option B: Use a dedicated commercial display with built-in Android (preferred for 24/7 use). Option C: Run the MOVO-X queue display URL on any browser-capable device connected to a TV via HDMI.
Connect via HDMI to the TV. Set the TV input to the correct HDMI source. Connect the display device to the clinic WiFi or ethernet. Install the MOVO-X Queue Display app from the Play Store (Android) or navigate to your clinic's queue display URL in a browser.
In MOVO-X Admin → Queue Display → Add Display. Enter the display name, assign it to your queue, and select the template (basic numbers, doctor-name view, or full dashboard). A 6-digit pairing code will appear — enter this on the display device to link it.
Upload your clinic logo. Set the colour scheme (default is dark with emerald accents). Choose whether to show: current number being served, next 3 numbers in queue, estimated wait time, doctor name, and room number. You can configure up to 4 queues on a single screen (split view).
Check in a test patient via the kiosk or admin portal. Press "Call Next Patient" in the doctor view. The display should update within 2 seconds. If there is a delay of >5 seconds, check the network connection between the display device and the internet.
MOVO-X supports text-to-speech announcements via the TV speakers. When a patient is called, the TV announces "Token number [X], please proceed to [Doctor Name]" in Bahasa Malaysia, English, or Chinese. Enable this in Admin → Queue Display → Audio Settings.
Mount the TV at a height where patients can see it from seated position (typically 1.5–1.8m to the centre of the screen). Tilt the mount 10–15 degrees downward for visibility.
Use a commercial-grade display rated for 16h/day use, not a consumer TV — consumer TVs have shorter backlights and are not designed for all-day operation.
Set the display to automatically restart the queue display app at midnight to clear any memory leaks from 24-hour continuous operation.
The display requires internet or a local network connection to the MOVO-X server. If internet is lost, the display shows the last-known state and a "Connection lost" indicator. Most modern routers have enough uptime that this is rarely an issue.
Yes. The split-view template shows up to 4 queues simultaneously, each in its own panel. This is the standard configuration for hospital outpatient lobbies where multiple specialist clinics share a waiting area.
Yes. Upload your logo, set primary and secondary colours, choose fonts, and add a custom background image or video. The branding is configured per-location, so each hospital branch can have its own display identity.
