Full definition
Riayati is the UAE's national unified health record platform, launched in 2021 by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in partnership with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Patients have a single longitudinal record accessible across emirates and across public + private providers — a major step toward UAE-wide healthcare interoperability.
The Riayati architecture is modern: FHIR-native APIs, federated identity via UAE Pass, and structured contribution requirements for healthcare providers. Provider participation is increasingly mandated as the platform matures. Patient access is through the Riayati app.
For a clinic platform operating in UAE: Riayati integration is increasingly required for participating providers. MOVO-X integrates with Riayati via the standard FHIR API for clinical-data contribution and retrieval; UAE Pass authentication is supported for both clinician and patient flows.

Frequently asked
Is Riayati participation mandatory?+
Increasingly so as the platform matures. Federal MoHAP-licensed providers participate; emirate-level mandates are expanding (DoH Abu Dhabi, DHA Dubai).
How does MOVO-X integrate?+
Via the standard Riayati FHIR API plus UAE Pass for authentication. Used in UAE deployments serving DHA-licensed and DoH-licensed clinics.
What about medical-tourism patients?+
Riayati covers UAE residents. Medical-tourism patients without UAE residency status are recorded under the destination provider's record with appropriate cross-border handoff.
Riayati and Malaffi?+
Malaffi was the Abu Dhabi-only HIE that preceded the federal Riayati. The two are now integrated under the federal initiative.
What about patient data privacy?+
UAE federal data-protection law plus emirate-level health-data regulations apply. MOVO-X supports the configurations required for UAE compliance.
