Full definition
NRIC (National Registration Identity Card) is Singapore's national identity. ICA-issued. The NRIC number is 9 characters: 1 letter (S/T/F/G/M denoting issuance period and citizenship) + 7 digits + 1 checksum letter. Citizens carry Pink IC; permanent residents Blue IC; foreign workers carry FIN (Foreign Identification Number).
For Singapore healthcare: NRIC is the primary patient identifier. Used in NEHR, MediShield Life, MediSave, all public hospitals (SingHealth, NHG, NUHS clusters), private hospitals (Mount Elizabeth, Raffles, Parkway), polyclinics. Singpass integration enables digital identity verification.
MOVO-X for Singapore deployments uses NRIC as primary identifier with Singpass integration for verification.

Yes. Singpass-based patient verification + NEHR integration for Singapore deployments.

Same workflow — FIN treated as a valid identifier alongside NRIC.
NRIC display restrictions?+
Singapore PDPC has issued guidance restricting full-NRIC collection without specific necessity. MOVO-X workflow respects this — collects masked NRIC where appropriate.
