Singpass is Singapore's national digital identity service. Operated by GovTech. Every Singapore citizen, PR, and many work-pass holders have a Singpass account. Used to access 1,400+ digital services from 600+ government and private entities — government portals, banking, telecom, healthcare, insurance, education.
Singpass authentication uses NRIC + password + biometric (FaceID-style face match) + optional hardware token. Singpass APIs (MyInfo, Verify) enable third-party apps to verify identity and pull authoritative data with user consent.
For healthcare: Singpass is increasingly the preferred verification method for HealthHub, NEHR access, and clinic patient registration. MOVO-X for Singapore supports Singpass authentication for patient registration and clinic-staff access.
